Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on a Missouri farm, our new trustee brings a lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to Desert Chapel. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving six years as an electrician aboard an ocean-going minesweeper, including two tours in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he began a distinguished career with IBEW Local 124, completing a five-year apprenticeship before spending decades working in commercial and industrial electrical systems. He later served as Service Manager, overseeing teams of electricians, managing complex construction projects, and supporting critical power systems for major computer facilities.
In 1988, he married his wife, Sheila, and together they built a loving blended family that now includes four children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. After retiring and deciding they were ready to trade snow shovels and lawn mowers for sunshine, they moved to Arizona in 2014. Since then, they have been active members of the United Methodist community, attending both Red Mountain United Methodist Church and Desert Chapel. We are grateful for his willingness to serve and look forward to the experience, wisdom, and steady leadership he brings to the Trustee Board.
